Service Description: These road closures are derived from our corporate road closure dataset. Waze requires the segments to begin and end at intersections. The closure may actually only be for parts of the segments identified in the data. The City of Brampton shares this road closure data with Waze as part of the Connected Citizen Program. As more drivers within the City of Brampton use the Waze app while they drive, more data is captured to help drivers avoid traffic congested areas. Sharing the City's road closures with Waze as open data helps drivers plan their trips around closed roads.
